STag markers encode 48 bits as a "sunburst" ring of dots inside a black square + white locator circle, decoded with 4-fold rotational lookup against a fixed codeword dictionary — no algorithmic BCH decode. See the bbenligiray/stag reference implementation and the original paper (Benligiray, Topal, Akinlar, 2019).
